
The Louis-Philippe style remains close to the Restoration style. However, it rejects any excessive ornamentation. This style, of an extreme simplicity, presents robust and functional pieces of furniture. It is also influenced by the increasing industrialization of the manufacturing of pieces of furniture, which provides with relatively low cost parts.
